This 3D-printed resin detail set from Reskit replaces the original cockpit with a finely detailed replica of the late modification in 1:72 scale. It holds 3D-printed parts of the cockpit and 3D decals with a raised relief that copy the instrument panels and the side consoles. It is meant for models of the strategic FB-111 variant.
The FB-111 was the strategic bomber version of the aircraft with the variable-geometry wing, operated by the strategic air forces. The late modifications brought changes in the cockpit equipment that this set takes into account. The roomy side-by-side cockpit for a crew of two is a striking feature of the build.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts in lukewarm soapy water. Cut the print supports away and sand the surfaces lightly with respiratory protection. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply the 3D decals onto a smooth painted surface as you would classic decals. An airbrush and careful work on the shadows of the interior suit it well.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
