A collector model of the German Ferdinand heavy tank destroyer in 1:72 scale. It is supplied as a finished product and is not assembled by you.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Ferdinand was a German heavy tank destroyer of the Second World War. It was built on a chassis that came out of an unsuccessful heavy tank design, and it carried a long 88 millimeter gun in a fixed superstructure at the rear. It therefore had no rotating turret and aimed by turning the whole vehicle. The result was an exceptionally heavy and slow machine, yet a very dangerous one at long range, with a strikingly tall and steep front plate that cannot be mistaken for anything else.
A finished collector model in 1:72 scale. It is not built, not glued and calls for no tools and no paints; straight out of the box you stand it on a shelf. The 1:72 scale is the most widespread among collectors of armor, so the model matches other vehicles and figures of the same scale in size.
Stand the model on a level surface out of direct sunlight, which shifts the surface shade over the long term. Remove dust with a soft brush or blow it off with compressed air from a greater distance; use no damp cloth and no cleaning agents, as they could damage the finish. When carrying it, hold the model by the hull, not by the gun barrel or the fenders, which are the most liable to break.
It suits collectors of military equipment who want a model without building, and also modelers as an addition to a display case or as a size reference alongside projects in progress. It is also a practical gift for anyone interested in the history of armor. A base, a display case and accessories are not included, unless stated otherwise.
