A set of figures in 1:72 scale on the theme of a German tank crew as of 1939. It adds a human scale to a model of a fighting vehicle or to a small diorama.
Responsibility details are not available.
German tank units had a uniform of their own: a short black jacket fastening at the front to one side and black trousers. The dark fabric was practical, because grease and dirt from the vehicle did not show on it as much. The crew of a German medium tank was as a rule made up of five men, that is, the commander, the gunner, the loader, the driver and the radio operator, so the figures from one set hold together as a single scene even without anything being added.
Figures in 1:72 scale capturing a tank crew as of 1939. An adult figure measures about twenty-four millimeters in this scale, so what has the main say here is the silhouette and the pose, not fine detail drawing. The number of figures, their poses and which kit the set is intended for are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Wash and degrease the figures before painting and cover them with a primer, otherwise the finish will not hold well on the smooth surface. Do not paint the black uniform in pure black, as in a small scale it swallows all the shape. Very dark gray with lighter edges of the folds and with the darkest shade only in the shadows is better. Handle the faces in three steps, that is, a base, a darker glaze into the recesses and a suggestion of light on the forehead, the nose and the chin. Lay the paint on thinned and in several layers, because a thick layer floods the fine relief.
A set of figures is supplied. Paints, glue and other accessories are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
