Responsibility details are not available.
A Model Maker decal set for modelers who want to build the Finnish Hornet in the display finish of the 2022 season. It is not a kit but a sheet of decals for a model that you obtain separately. Check the exact contents of the sheet against the illustration on the packaging.
The F/A-18C is the single-seat version of the multirole Hornet, and in the Finnish Air Force it formed the backbone of the fighter force for many years. For public displays one machine is picked each year, given a striking temporary finish different from the ordinary gray, and then flown around the air shows for the whole season. Models of such machines are popular precisely because they are a colorful exception within an otherwise inconspicuously finished fleet. The decal sheet takes over the form of the finish for 2022, and the modeler adds the painted surface underneath.
With display finishes the rule is that a colored area tends to be divided between sprayed paint and decals. So mix and apply the painted surface according to the real machine before you reach for the sheet. Then come the gloss varnish, the decals and a softener. Carry large decals onto a wet surface, so that they can be slid about, and press the water out from the center toward the edges with a soft sponge. Once dry, wipe the adhesive residues off with a damp cotton swab, otherwise they will form matte smears after the overcoat.
The contents are a decal sheet. The kit, the paints and the varnishes are not part of it.
