An accessory set for a model of the Focke-Wulf Fw 58 B/C in 1:72 scale for the Nachtschlacht form with ETC 50 bomb racks.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 58, known under the name Weihe, was a German twin-engined multi-purpose aircraft of the 1930s. It served mainly for training and on liaison and auxiliary duties, but later it also turned up wherever anything that flew could be put to use. The German designation Nachtschlacht belongs to night ground-attack work, for which the machine was given ETC 50 bomb racks - an unassuming addition that turned a quiet aircraft into a combat machine.
This accessory set in 1:72 scale adds ETC 50 bomb racks and parts for the Nachtschlacht form to a model of the Fw 58 in the B and C versions. It is prepared for the Azur, Fromm and Special Hobby kits, so compare the instructions with the kit you have at home before building. The manufacturer's instructions describe the range of parts and where each one goes.
In 1:72 scale the racks are very small, so work over a surface from which a lost part can be found again. Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the surface. Wash and degrease everything before painting. Seat the racks according to the instructions symmetrically about the centerline of the fuselage; mark the position out with a pencil in advance and check it by eye from the front.
The set is for modelers drawn to less usual machines and their late modifications who are up for fine work in a small scale. A finished model then gets exactly the form that brought the Fw 58 into the combat units. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
