This injection-molded plastic kit from the Ukrainian company Roden captures the German fighter triplane Fokker F.I in 1:72 scale. The set is meant to be glued and painted and holds fine engraved detail as well as decals for period color schemes.
Fokker F.I was the pre-production designation of the machines from which the famous production triplane Fokker Dr.I grew. Only a handful of these aircraft reached the units; they were flown for instance by Werner Voss of Jasta 10 and Kurt Wolff of Jasta 11. It was powered by a rotary engine. The triplane layout gave it high agility.
Separate the small parts with a sharp knife and clean them up. Glue them with a thin cement for plastic, use a primer and an airbrush. On a triplane, pay attention to setting the lifting surfaces precisely and to the bracing wires between the wings.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
