An injection-molded plastic kit of the Fokker T-21 Instructor trainer in 1:72 scale from the maker Kovozavody Prostejov. T-21 was the designation of the license-built version of the proven Fokker S-11 type. The package contains plastic sprues, clear cabin parts, decals and paper instructions. The model is meant to be glued together and painted.
The Fokker T-21 grew out of the two-seat single-engine Fokker S-11 Instructor basic trainer, which came into being in the Netherlands at the end of the 1940s. Under the T-21 designation the machine was built under license for an overseas user, where it replaced older trainer types. The side-by-side arrangement of pilot and pupil, fixed landing gear and a reliable piston engine made it an ideal machine for basic pilot training.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and glue the clear parts with a non-fogging adhesive. Trainer aircraft often suit striking high-visibility shades; apply them with an airbrush over a primer. Settle the decals onto gloss varnish and unify the surface with a final coat of varnish. It is a smaller model, so expect delicate parts.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
