1:72 Folland Gnat

Peewit mask set — Folland Gnat (1:72)

A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks from the Czech manufacturer Peewit for the model of the light jet Folland Gnat in 1:72 scale. It is neither a kit nor paint, but an accessory that makes painting the frames of the canopy easier.

The real subject

The Folland Gnat was a British light jet fighter and trainer of the 1950s and 1960s, famous among other things for the displays of the Red Arrows aerobatic team flying the training version. The F Mk.I version served abroad as well.

Use

• Lift the masks off the backing and lay them on the glazing along the frames of the canopy.
• On curved surfaces press the edge down gently so that the mask adheres.
• Spray thin coats; lift the mask off while the paint is still tacky.
• The remaining area of the glazing can be covered with tape or liquid mask.

Who the set is for

For modelers building the Folland Gnat in 1:72 who want crisp canopy frames without the labor of cutting tape.

It is neither a model nor paint. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
