1:72 Folland Gnat/Ajeet Mask

Folland Gnat / Ajeet painting mask in 1:72 scale (Special Hobby)

A set of precisely cut masks for masking the cockpit glazing when spraying. The masks follow the glazing frames of the Folland Gnat model, or of its Indian Ajeet version, in 1:72 scale and allow clean color edges. It is an accessory for a model, not a kit.

The real subject

The Folland Gnat was a British light jet fighter and trainer, valued for its small size and agility; as a trainer it became famous with the Royal Air Force. The Ajeet was its further developed version built in India. The small cockpit with many frames makes masking an ideal job for a pre-cut set.

Use

• Transfer the masks from the sheet and place them exactly on the glazing frames.
• Cover the gaps between the frames with offcuts of film or with liquid mask.
• Spray in thin coats to stop paint running under the edge.
• Remove the masks once the paint has set for a crisp edge.

Who the set is for

• Modelers building the Folland Gnat or the Ajeet in 1:72 scale.

This is a standalone set of masks. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
