Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the French Char B1 bis heavy tank in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. The model captures the massive subject with a gun built into the hull and a rotating turret. The box holds injection-molded plastic on several sprues together with one-piece flexible tracks and an illustrated instruction sheet.
The Char B1 bis was one of the most heavily armored tanks of the early Second World War. It carried an unusual combination of armament: a short 75mm gun fixed in the hull for firing at fortifications and a separate 47mm anti-tank cannon in the rotating turret. The thick armor made it a difficult target, but the one-man turret and the demanding workload for the crew reduced its combat value. The vehicles were committed to the fighting in France in 1940 and a number of captured machines then served in German hands.
Finish the running gear with its characteristic side track skirts first and only then close up the hull. The busy surface comes to life after a dark wash and drybrushing. Spray the French multi-color camouflage with an airbrush in thin coats and weather the running gear with dust pigments for mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
