This is not a kit of an airplane but a single photo-etched detail — the cover of an access hatch on the fuselage of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190. The photo-etched part replaces the thicker plastic or simplified shape from the kit and gives the model a crisp edge and a thin, faithful relief of the lid. It makes a small but telling improvement to the surface.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was among the most successful German fighters of the Second World War. It had a whole series of service and access covers on the fuselage; capturing them faithfully in a small scale lifts the impression of the finished model markedly.
Separate the part carefully from the fret, shape it gently to the curve of the fuselage if needed and glue it on with super glue. Degrease the area before painting; the fine edges will be brought out by shading and a wash afterwards.
This is a detail accessory, not a whole model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
