Resin control surfaces for the Fw 190A 1:72 from Aires/Quickboost. A detail replacement for the movable surfaces of the airframe for a truer and livelier model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the aircraft aftermarket maker Aires/Quickboost is a resin replacement for the control surfaces of a model of the Fw 190A fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane kit but a detail accessory that replaces the corresponding plastic parts from the base kit with more finely cast movable surfaces with truer surface structure. The separate surfaces can be fitted deflected, which livens up the model.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190A was a German single-seat fighter of the Second World War, powered by the air-cooled BMW 801 radial engine. The movable control surfaces of the airframe, above all the rudder, the elevators and the ailerons, are features whose faithful rendering raises the realistic impression of a model.
First wash the resin parts to remove any mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks carefully and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). We recommend fitting the control surfaces slightly deflected, as on a parked aircraft; the transitions and the structure of the covering will stand out once they are accentuated.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
