Eduard Brassin 1:72 Fw 190A propeller is a resin detail accessory that replaces the plastic propeller on Fw 190A models with finely cast blades of faithful shape.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is NOT an aircraft model but a resin detail accessory from the Czech maker Eduard. The set replaces the kit propeller with a more accurate casting for Fw 190A models in 1:72 scale. An aid for setting the blades into the hub correctly and decals are usually included, so the result looks more faithful than the plastic original.
The propeller was a key element of the powerplant of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190A fighter. The broad blades driven by the BMW 801 radial engine gave the machine its characteristic silhouette and its performance in the struggle for air superiority during the Second World War. An accurately shaped hub and blades therefore markedly affect the overall impression of a finished model.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with dish soap to remove residue of the mold release agent from the mold. Cut the casting blocks off with a sharp knife or a saw, sand the faces (with respiratory protection) and glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting; the propeller blade is usually sprayed in RLM 70 with the front face in the color of the hub.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted; it is a resin part for completing a plastic model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
