The set brings four pieces of the GBU-31 JDAM guided bomb with the BLU-109 warhead in 1:72 scale. The number of pieces matches the usual load of a combat aircraft, so you fit a whole set of racks at once and do not have to look for another package. It is an accessory to a kit, not a model in its own right.
The designation JDAM belongs to a guidance kit that can be attached to a conventional aircraft bomb. The kit consists of a tail section with controls and strakes along the body of the bomb; after release a satellite signal backed by an inertial unit guides it to the target, so the bomb does not depend on whether the crew can see the target. The GBU-31 is the version in the 2000-pound weight class. The BLU-109 warhead is a penetrator: it has a thick-walled case and is meant against hardened targets, where an ordinary bomb of the same class would detonate too early.
This is an add-on set for a kit. An aircraft model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The exact extent of the package is stated by the manufacturer on the packaging.
