A photo-etched set in 1:72 scale for a model of the American General Dynamics F-111F ground-attack aircraft. It adds fine metal parts to the model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-111F is an American two-seat ground-attack aircraft with a variable-geometry wing. The crew sit side by side and in an emergency leave the aircraft in a complete escape capsule rather than on ejection seats. Power comes from two afterburning turbofan engines. The aircraft was built for low-level penetration and for carrying a heavy bomb load over a long distance, and its dimensions match that: in 1:72 scale it makes a fairly large model.
Photo-etched metal parts in 1:72 scale intended to complete an F-111F model. Metal sheet keeps its true thickness, so parts such as grilles, panels or small protruding features look finer than their plastic counterparts. The extent of the set, the list of parts and the kit it is cut for are given in the manufacturer's instructions, so check that it matches your own model beforehand.
Cut the parts from the fret with a sharp blade on a hard surface and sand the remains of the tab away. Make the bends in a bender or over the edge of a ruler. Glue with a minute amount of cyanoacrylate glue, as cement for polystyrene will not bond metal. Wash the metal, degrease it and spray it with primer before painting. On a model with a movable wing, decide in advance which position you will leave the wing in, because metal parts once fitted may no longer allow it to be swept.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
