Responsibility details are not available.
A turned metal barrel in 1:72 scale from the Polish maker Aber. It is not a kit of a vehicle but a detail accessory for a model of the German Sturmpanzer IV assault vehicle nicknamed the Brummbär, in the form matching the later production batches. The metal part is perfectly circular, with no parting line and with a drilled muzzle.
The Sturmpanzer IV carried a heavy assault howitzer of 150 mm caliber in a tall armored casemate on the chassis of the Panzer IV. The vehicle was to destroy fortified buildings and resistance in built-up areas by direct fire at short range. The design was modified during production — the front of the casemate, the mounting of the weapon and the form of the barrel itself all changed. It is these later batches that this set matches.
Cut the plastic barrel off as close to the mantlet as possible, clean the hole out with a drill and glue the metal part in with cyanoacrylate glue or epoxy. Check that the barrel sits level and on the axis — on a short, massive weapon a deviation shows at once. Degrease the metal before painting and lay down a base coat for metals. Late vehicles are often built with a heavily dusted surface and worn paint on the edges, which will only do the metal part good.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
