An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Brummbar (Sturmpanzer IV) assault gun in the mid production version in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. The package contains plastic parts, flexible tracks, decals and assembly instructions.
The Brummbar was a German heavy assault gun built on the chassis of the Panzer IV tank. In its heavily armored superstructure it carried a howitzer of 150 mm caliber meant to destroy fortifications and to give fire support to the infantry in urban and open fighting alike. The mid production version differs from the early and the late ones in the details of the superstructure and the armament. The Wehrmacht committed the vehicles from 1943.
Assemble and paint the running gear and the tracks before you close the hull and the superstructure. An airbrush suits the late war German three-color scheme; the heavy armor invites strong edge highlighting with a rub, a wash and dust pigments to suggest combat wear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
