This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from Hobby Boss represents the German Munitionsschlepper ammunition vehicle built on the chassis of the Pz.Kpfw. IV tank in the Ausf. F version. The model is built from gray molded plastic, and the package holds tracks and illustrated instructions with a color scheme. Check the exact package contents against the release.
The Munitionsschlepper were transport and loading vehicles intended to supply the heavy self-propelled Mörser Karl-Gerät with ammunition. They came about by converting a limited number of Pz.Kpfw. IV chassis of the D, E and F versions. In place of a turret the vehicle carried a body for moving heavy rounds and a crane for handling the ammunition right at the mortar. The version on the Ausf. F chassis belongs to the later configurations.
With this vehicle we recommend assembling and fine-tuning the running gear before you close the hull. Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement, apply a primer and spray the paints with an airbrush. Wear and dusting effects can be brought out with washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
