An injection-molded plastic kit of the German fighter Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 in 1:72 scale from the Hobby Boss production. The model belongs to the simplified Easy Assembly line: the fuselage and the wing are formed by large one-piece parts, the canopy is in one piece, and a metal propeller shaft and a drop tank are included as well. The low part count means a quick build. The package contains decals for two markings; the exact contents may differ according to the release.
The Fw 190A-8 was one of the most widespread later versions of this line, with the air-cooled BMW 801 radial engine. It went into production in 1944 and compared with the earlier variants it received heavier armament and better armor. It was used for fighter work and for the Defense of the Reich airspace against Allied bomber formations.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic; secure the metal propeller shaft so that the propeller can rotate. Paint the interior before closing the fuselage. Apply the typical Reich defense schemes (gray-green shades) with an airbrush over primer and add a wash of the panel lines and fine wear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
