1:72 Gloster Meteor F.8/FR.9 EXPERT Kabuki Masks

Gloster Meteor F.8/FR.9 EXPERT kabuki masks (1:72, New Ware)

An extended set of precisely die-cut self-adhesive painting masks of kabuki (washi) paper tape for a model of the Gloster Meteor jet fighter in the F.8 and FR.9 versions in 1:72 scale. Compared with the basic version, EXPERT holds masks for the inner side of the glazing as well, so the frames look clean when seen from inside the cockpit too. The set further covers the other clear parts, the wheels and the nose section.

Use

• Clean and degrease the glazing and move the mask pieces with tweezers.
• Apply the inner masks before closing the cockpit and the outer ones before spraying.
• Press the film down around the edges of the frames; take the mask off while the paint is fresh.

The real subject

The Gloster Meteor was the first British production jet fighter; the F.8 formed the backbone of the postwar fighter force and the FR.9 served for photo-reconnaissance.

Who the set is for

• More demanding modelers who want clean frames from inside the cockpit as well.
• Builders of aircraft models in 1:72 scale.

These are painting masks, not a kit. Paints, glue and the model itself are not included in the package.
