A set of unpainted plastic figures in 1:72 scale from Zvezda. The package holds a large set of foot figures in many poses. The figures are meant to be separated from the sprue, assembled and painted; bases are usually included.
The set depicts ancient Greek infantry of the classical period (the 5th and 4th centuries BC). The core is formed by hoplites with shields and spears, supported by light infantry: archers, slingers and peltasts with throwing weapons. The figures carry period equipment including helmets and various types of armor; a piper and an officer are in the set as well.
Separate the figures from the sprue carefully and clean up the mold lines. Use cement for plastic for the gluing. Lay down a primer before painting; bring out the bronze helmets and shields with a metallic paint, the shields allow colorful motifs, and a wash will help the folds and the muscle cuirass stand out.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
