A 1:72 sheet of markings with Greek insignia for the Rafale. From it you can put together any machine of the squadron that moved to the type from an older French fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
Athens decided on the French fighter at the start of the 2020s and became the first European customer to acquire it outside the manufacturer's home country. The order combined machines taken over from French stocks with newly built examples, so aircraft with different histories meet in the inventory under one insignia. The squadron that converted to them had until then flown an older French design and was therefore already close to the brand.
For a modeler it is above all the combination of a gray finish and striking national insignia that is interesting. The Greek machines look sober, and the fine tactical markings and the lettering around the cockpit stand out all the more on them. The move to the type meant a fundamental step forward in capability for the country, because the new aircraft can strike ground as well as naval targets and carries a modern radar with electronic beam steering.
The sheet is laid out generically. Insignia and numbers for the whole delivery leave you a free hand in choosing a particular machine, which with new equipment tends to be a rarity, because accessories usually cover only one special example. Anyone who wants to build an ordinary operational aircraft from a photograph will appreciate it most.
The small tactical lettering will call for fine-tipped tweezers and good light, or it easily settles crooked.
