A resin detail set in 1:72 scale from 77propeller for models of the American Grumman Widgeon amphibian aircraft. It is not a kit but a set of refining parts, the exhausts, the air intakes and the magneto, which replace the simplified plastic parts and raise the fidelity of the model.
The Grumman G-44 Widgeon was a small twin-engined amphibian aircraft of the late 1930s, used in civil service and by the military for patrol and liaison duties. The fine engine details are clearly visible on a model, so it is worth refining them.
The cast resin parts faithfully capture the shape of the exhausts, the intakes and the magneto. They are meant to be cut from the casting blocks, cleaned up and glued to the relevant places on the model.
Wash the parts free of mold release residue, cut the casting blocks away and sand the faces with respiratory protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Before painting, a primer suited to resin is recommended.
