The set 1:72 Grumman E-2C Hawkeye SPACE equips the cockpit of the carrier-borne early warning aircraft with printed decals with three-dimensional relief.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Grumman E-2C Hawkeye carrier-borne patrol aircraft has a cockpit packed with instruments, and in a small scale plastic will never capture it. The SPACE line from Eduard solves this problem with decals printed in color whose surface is not flat but carries noticeable relief. The item relates to 1:72 scale.
Seat the main panel first, while you have room in the cockpit, and only then add the consoles and the side elements. The base has to be glossy and clean; matte paint under a decal causes silvering. Once dry, a light matte clear coat comes in useful, so that the gloss of the base does not shout through. The cockpit of the Hawkeye is fairly deep, so shine a light in and check whether all the elements have really seated.
The Hawkeye is recognizable at first glance: above the fuselage a large disc-shaped antenna carrier rotates, on the tail surfaces there are four vertical fins, and power comes from two turboprop engines. The task of the machine is to watch the airspace around a carrier group and to direct the work of the fighters. The E-2C version became the most widespread and served for decades not only with the US Navy but also with other users all over the world.
The product takes in only the upgrade described, not the aircraft itself in plastic.
