This is a resin detail accessory, not a kit. The set replaces the radial engine of the carrier-borne torpedo and bomber aircraft Grumman TBM-1 Avenger in 1:72 scale with a finely cast part with the cylinders and the ignition harness rendered, which injection-molded plastic achieves only with difficulty. With the cowling opened up, a model thus gains a faithful heart to its powerplant.
Separate the part from the casting block, wash the mold release agent residue off and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The engine comes out well after a base coat, a dark wash into the recesses and a dry brush on the edges. Sanding with respiratory protection is recommended.
It is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted; the base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
