About product

Colored photo-etched instrument panel H-75 (1:72, Yahu Models)

A colored photo-etched instrument panel for models of the export Curtiss Hawk 75 fighter in 1:72 scale from Yahu Models. It is not a kit but a detail accessory for a cockpit. The panel is painted and assembled by the maker and ready to be glued in, so it faithfully replaces the simplified plastic panel from the base kit.

The real subject

Hawk 75 was the export designation of the Curtiss fighter derived from the American P-36 Hawk. The radial-engined machines served with a number of foreign users, notably with the French Air Force at the start of the Second World War. The cockpit with its period instrument layout gives a model an authentic look.

Fitting and use

Cut or thin the plastic panel from the kit, degrease the mating surface and seat the colored etch with cyanoacrylate glue. The layered construction gives the instrument panel real depth and readable instruments. Suitable for modelers with experience of small photo-etched parts and tweezers.

Who it is for

  • Builders of export Curtiss machines and early wartime fighters in 1:72
  • Modelers who want a realistic cockpit without hand painting the instruments
  • Collectors of detail accessories for cockpits
  • Anyone who will appreciate a pre-painted, finished part for quick gluing in

This is a cockpit accessory, not an aircraft model. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
