Resin set of defensive armament for the H8K2 Emily 1:72 from Eduard replaces the barrels of the onboard weapons with finely cast resin and photo-etched parts. It is not a model but an upgrade accessory for models of the Kawanishi H8K2 Emily flying boat.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin detail set from the Brassin range, complemented by photo-etched parts. It is not an airplane kit but a set of replacement weapons with which you fit out the gun positions of a model of the four-engine Kawanishi H8K2 Emily flying boat in 1:72 scale. Cast resin captures the rifling of the barrels and the shape of the magazines far more faithfully than the plastic parts from the base kit.
The Kawanishi H8K was a Japanese long-range reconnaissance and bomber flying boat of the Second World War, given the Allied reporting name Emily. It was among the best protected aircraft of its category and carried strong defensive armament in the nose, in the dorsal and beam turrets and in the tail position, a combination of cannon and machine guns. It is exactly these weapons that the set reproduces faithfully.
Separate the parts carefully from the casting blocks with a saw or a knife, remove the mold release residue from the surfaces by washing in lukewarm soapy water and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Bend the fine photo-etched parts over a sharp edge. We recommend a primer before painting, then a matte steel or iron color and a light picking out of the edges.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
