This is not a kit of the aircraft but an aftermarket detail part from the Quickboost accessory line, made by the Czech company Aires. The package contains resin replacements for the engine exhaust stubs of the Hurricane Mk.I model in 1:72 scale. The small scale makes the exhausts a critical detail - they sit right beside the cockpit, in the line of sight, and the plastic version tends to be simplified.
The exhaust stubs of the V12 engine project along both sides of the forward fuselage and are clearly visible on the model. In 1:72 scale, injection-molded plastic usually renders them as blind bumps with a visible parting seam. A resin casting has a cleaner shape, crisper edges and the opening indicated, so once painted and given a sooty stain it looks convincing.
Wash the casting in lukewarm water with detergent because of the mold release agent, cut the casting block off with a saw and sand the surface; protect your airways while sanding resin. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Fit the exhausts only after the fuselage is painted - it saves you masking. For painting, a dark metallic base works well, then a dry brush in rusty shades and finally a light sooty stain with dark pigment running aft.
The accessory is supplied as an unpainted resin casting. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
