Heinkel He 162D-9 Luftwaffe 46 in 1:72 scale is a plastic kit of a hypothetical German jet fighter from AZ Model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A short-run injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale. The model covers a speculative project version derived from the light He 162 jet fighter, of the kind grouped in the popular Luftwaffe 1946 category, that is, designs that stayed on paper and never flew. The decals cover fictitious German color schemes.
The basis was the Heinkel He 162, an emergency light jet fighter from the end of the Second World War. The D series version represented a projected development branch with a revised layout of the flying surfaces. No production aircraft of this form were ever built, so the subject is hypothetical and based on period studies.
With short-run kits, expect to clean the parts up more carefully and to dry-fit them before gluing. Fill and sand the joints if need be. Mask the cockpit, apply a primer and spray the colors with an airbrush; fictitious schemes leave more room for imagination in the weathering and the markings.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
