The smallest of the three sets of female heads from the Firma49 brand is aimed at 1:72 size. Here too you get five pieces with hair and five without, each with an expression of its own. Resin printing manages features that would be lost altogether in injection-molded plastic at this size.
In 1:72 it is mainly more extensive scenes that get built: a railway station, a village square, a wartime airfield. A throng of figures looks believable when the same face does not keep repeating in the crowd, and this set is built for exactly that. It also comes into its own where you want to bring a single figure to the fore and set it apart from its surroundings.
Work over a mat with a raised edge, as a piece that falls will never be found on a carpet. Separate the casting gate with a cut, not with pliers, which would crush the material. Before gluing, try the head dry to see whether it fits into the neck opening; a round file will manage any small adjustment. Choose a shade somewhat lighter than you would expect, because seen from a distance small areas darken optically. It is enough to suggest the features with a single dark touch at the eyes and the mouth; more detail merges together at this size anyway.
