An injection-molded plastic kit of the German twin-engine bomber Heinkel He-111 H-2/H-3 in 1:72 scale from Hobby 2000. This boxing combines proven Hasegawa plastic with quality Cartograf decals and focuses on machines deployed on the Western Front in 1940. The package contains plastic parts, extensive glazing and decals. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Heinkel He-111 was one of the main German medium bombers of the Second World War, easily recognized by its fully glazed nose. The H-series versions were powered by Junkers Jumo 211 engines. The H-2 and H-3 machines differed in details of armament and equipment, and in 1940 they took a large part in raids over Western Europe and Britain. They carried a multi-man crew of pilot, navigator and bombardier, and gunners.
The key is the fully glazed nose and cockpit — give time to the interior, which is clearly visible through the glazing. Protect the clear parts with masks so that the frames stay crisp. Glue the joints with thin cement for plastic and build the model over a base coat of primer. The quality Cartograf decals sit well on gloss varnish; once they are on, even the surface out with a matte overcoat. German mottle camouflage comes out best with an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
