1:72 Heinkel He-162 Spatz canopy airbrush mask is a set of masking templates for the cockpit glazing, not a kit. It makes it possible to spray the canopy frames sharply on a model in 1:72 scale.

This is an accessory for a build, not a model of an aircraft. The set contains masking templates cut to the shape of the cockpit canopy. They are stuck onto the clear part, sprayed over with the color of the frames and removed once dry. On a small single-seat machine the cockpit makes up a large part of the visible area of the fuselage, so an irregular frame shows immediately on a finished model. The set is made by MH models within its range of aircraft airbrush masks.
The Heinkel He-162, also known by the name Spatz, is a single-seat jet fighter from the end of the Second World War. In design terms it is a very compact machine with one BMW 003 jet engine housed in a nacelle above the fuselage, a high-set wing and twin vertical tail surfaces. Wood played a large part in its manufacture, because the program aimed at quick series production that made few demands on materials. The cockpit sits well forward and is covered by a sliding canopy with a prominent front frame - on a model that is one of the defining details.
Wash and degrease the clear part. Release the templates from the sheet with a sharp knife and transfer them with tweezers onto the areas that are to stay clear; handle the adhesive side as little as possible. Press the edges down all round and, on the curve of the canopy, work from the center toward the edges. Cut any uncovered sections from the waste of the sheet or fill them in with narrow masking tape. Spray the frames first with the shade of the interior, then with the external finish, each time in thin coats. Take the masks off shortly after they have dried, slowly and at a sharp angle.
