About product

1:72 Heinkel He-162A Salamander - Eduard photo-etch

This is a photo-etched set from the Eduard brand, that is a detail accessory, not a stand-alone model. The parts are etched from thin brass sheet and even in the small 1:72 scale they add elements that injection-molded plastic cannot reach.

What the set is for

The set completes the interior and the exterior alike, typically the instrument panel, the seat belts and small surface details. It is designed for models of the German Heinkel He 162 Salamander jet fighter from the end of the Second World War in 1:72 scale.

Usage tips

In 1:72 scale the parts are very small; separate them with a sharp knife close to the fret and work with tweezers. Form the bends with a bending tool and glue with a small amount of super glue onto degreased surfaces.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers who want a more faithful He 162 even in the small scale
  • Builders in 1:72 scale with experience of fine photo-etch
  • Anyone after a better interior and surface detail

This is a detail set, not a model. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
