This plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian maker UM captures the command conversion of the Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer tank destroyer. The model is molded in injection plastic, holds finely engraved detail and is complemented by a photo-etched set of small parts. It builds up from several sprues and offers a faithfully done running gear and armored hull.
The Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer was a light German tank destroyer built on the proven chassis of the Czechoslovak 38(t) type. A low silhouette, sloped armor and a 75 mm gun made it an economical and widespread weapon at the end of the war. Command vehicles were in addition fitted with extended radio equipment for directing the unit, which showed in their antenna fit.
We recommend starting with the running gear and the hull interior before you close it up. Use liquid cement for plastic and glue the photo-etch with cyanoacrylate glue. Once the primer and the color are sprayed on, the detail will come out with washes and pigments, which make dust and mud effects easy to create.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
