A collector model of the Hawker Hurricane Mk II aircraft in Yugoslav colors of 1944. It is not a kit but a finished product, which is assembled, painted and provided with markings already at the factory. What you buy is therefore an exhibit, not several evenings of work.
The Hurricane Mk II came about by reworking the original Hurricane fighter around a more powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin XX series engine. The construction stayed mixed, with a fuselage framework of steel tubes, which made the type durable and easy to repair in the field. That is exactly why Hurricanes also did well on less well-equipped airfields in southern Europe and the Mediterranean, where units made up of Yugoslav airmen operated at the close of the Second World War. Machines of this category were used mainly for attacks on ground targets, where their load-carrying ability and stability told.
The model is painted in a camouflage scheme with the markings applied and a clear cockpit canopy. The small 1:72 scale suits collections where the point is comparing several types side by side rather than one large exhibit. A display case with glass doors markedly reduces the settling of dust, which is the greatest enemy of finished models. If dust does settle, remove it dry with a soft brush. Do not use water, cleaning preparations or spirit-based products and do not leave the model on a windowsill in direct sun.
The model is supplied finished, assembled and painted. Nothing is glued, filled or sprayed.
