An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet experimental interceptor in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer Modelsvit. The model captures the prototype with its two-seat cockpit and offers a modern mold. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted, usually with masks and drop tanks.
The I-320 was a Soviet experimental all-weather interceptor of the late 1940s, designed to intercept targets at long range in any weather. It had a crew of two (pilot and radar operator) sitting side by side and a pair of jet engines arranged in tandem. It never reached series production, because a later requirement replaced the original specification.
This is a short-run mold, so allow for more careful cleaning up and fitting of the parts. Glue it with liquid cement for plastic, apply a primer and the colors with an airbrush. The masks included make spraying the glazing easier; bare metal surfaces come to life with natural metal shades and fine weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
