Responsibility details are not available.
A colored photo-etched instrument panel for models of the Romanian IAR-81 fighter in 1:72 scale from Yahu Models. It is not a kit but a detail accessory for a cockpit. The panel is painted and assembled by the maker and ready to be glued in, so it replaces the simplified plastic panel from the kit.
The IAR-81 was the combat development of the Romanian I.A.R.80 fighter with a radial engine, used during the Second World War. The development line brought changes to the armament and the equipment, which showed in the cockpit too. This execution matches the IAR-81 fighter version.
Cut or thin the plastic panel from the kit, degrease the mating surface and seat the colored etch with cyanoacrylate glue. The layered construction gives the instrument panel real depth and readable instruments. The work calls for tweezers and a feel for small photo-etched parts.
This is a cockpit accessory, not an aircraft model. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
