The castings from the Black Dog brand turn a model of the armored personnel carrier into the version carrying public address equipment. The conversion concerns the upper part of the vehicle, where the installation was mounted. A model of the carrier is a prerequisite; the set does not hold it.
The light tracked carrier of aluminum alloy spread to dozens of armies, and in Israeli service it was used in an exceptionally wide range of modifications. Command, ambulance, engineer and workshop vehicles as well as carriers for weapon systems were built from it. The special-purpose versions often differ from one another only in the superstructure, while the hull itself stays common to all. The vehicle with the loudspeaker installation served to pass announcements and appeals to the population during operations in built-up areas.
First mark the places for the mountings on the roof of the hull and only then drill; a hand drill with a bit under one millimeter is enough. Make the wiring and the rods from thin wire, which looks better in this scale than cast substitutes. Glue the supporting structure in stages and let each joint dry, otherwise the assembly will twist. Level the edges rounded by cutting with a sanding sponge.
