Kovozavody Prostejov 1:72 - masks for the cockpit glazing of the Il-10 ground-attack aircraft. Pre-cut pieces for quick and clean covering.
Responsibility details are not available.
Pre-cut masking pieces for the canopy and the side windows of a 1:72 model of the Soviet ground-attack aircraft Il-10. The individual pieces just have to be lifted off the sheet, laid on the glass and pressed down; the boundary of the frame then comes out exactly where it belongs. Cutting strips by hand with a knife falls away, which comes in useful with a cockpit where the bars are unusually many and narrow.
The Il-10 was the successor to the famous Il-2 ground-attack aircraft. It came about in 1944 as an all-metal design, was given a stronger engine and better aerodynamics, so it was faster and more agile than its predecessor without losing the armored tub protecting the pilot and the engine. The rear gunner sat in a rotating station and defended the machine from behind. After the war the type was also built under license in Czechoslovakia under the designation B-33, and in the uniform of several armies it took part in the fighting in Korea as well.
Apply the interior shade of the frame before you remove the mask, otherwise the plastic will show through from the inside. The proven sequence is that the interior color is sprayed first, after it a thin coat of the outer shade, and finally the mask is pulled off. If paint does run under the edge even so, you can put it right with a pointed toothpick dipped in thinner while the coat is fresh.
The package is only an accessory; obtain the model itself separately.
