Il-2 Shturmovik exhausts 1:72 is a resin detail part for experienced modelers that replaces the simplified plastic exhausts of the Soviet ground-attack aircraft with a more faithful casting.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail part in 1:72 scale that replaces the simplified plastic exhausts from the kit with a more faithfully executed casting. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for completing one. The engine exhaust stubs are clearly visible on the fuselage of the ground-attack aircraft, and the resin casting captures their fine edges, openings and radii better than softly shaped plastic, so once fitted it increases the fidelity of the whole front of the machine. The part is intended for more experienced modelers used to working with resin.
The Ilyushin Il-2 Shturmovik was a Soviet single-engine ground-attack aircraft of the Second World War, famous for the heavily armored front of its fuselage protecting both the pilot and the engine. It was powered by a liquid-cooled V12 and the machine became one of the most important and most numerously produced aircraft of its era. The characteristic exhausts along the sides of the engine cowling are among its typical recognition features.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
