The J-31 is a Chinese twin-engine fighter with a reduced radar signature. Its angular fuselage and the canted surfaces of its vertical tails give a model a distinctive silhouette, so it pays to pay attention to a clean surface and to accurate seating of the accessories.

The parts are not polystyrene; they are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder flat so that the glued surface sits without a gap. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly. In 1:72 scale the parts are tiny, so it pays to cut them over a mat and to work with tweezers. Dry-fit the seating and paint small parts before you glue them in.
