A resin cockpit detail set from Aires in 1:72 scale. It replaces the simplified interior from a plastic kit with a faithfully rendered cockpit tub carrying an instrument panel, side panels and an ejection seat. The J35Ö designation corresponds to the Austrian version of the Draken. The accessory is meant for more experienced modelers and is not an aircraft model in itself.
The Saab 35 Draken was a Swedish supersonic fighter with a double delta wing and a single turbojet with afterburner. The J35Ö version served in Austria as an interceptor; these were modernized machines delivered to a foreign user. The cockpit is among the most exposed parts of a model to the eye.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent and separate them from the casting blocks with a saw. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand with airway protection. The interior is fitted before the fuselage is glued together, so check the fit and the width of the tub by dry-fitting. The details come out once painted and lightly shaded.
