The British Jaguar attack aircraft in three squadrons. According to the data the 1:72 decal sheet covers machines of No. 41, No. 14 and No. 31 Squadron of the Royal Air Force.
Responsibility details are not available.
The sheet is focused on the British version of the Jaguar attack aircraft and according to the data it offers markings for machines of No. 41, No. 14 and No. 31 Squadron. Three units at the same time mean three different roles: No. 41 devoted itself mainly to reconnaissance, whereas the other two belonged to strike squadrons on the continent.
The aircraft itself came about as a joint British and French venture. A consortium brought together manufacturers from both countries and the original requirement was for an advanced trainer, which during development became a rugged carrier of bomb armament for low level flight. The British examples received more powerful engines, a laser rangefinder in the nose and a navigation system that was exceptionally accurate for its time.
For a modeler the Jaguar is rewarding for its camouflage. The gray and green British scheme with low visibility markings offers a chance for fine gradation of shades, and it is against that background that the colored squadron badges on the fin stand out.
The squadron badges on the fin tend to be small and strongly colored, so every inaccuracy in placement shows on them. Draw a guide line with a soft pencil, therefore, which you wipe away once dry, and place the decal by it. Low visibility national insignia on a gray base, on the other hand, take a small deviation, because they are of low contrast themselves.
