A plastic kit of the British regional airliner Jetstream Super 31 from the Sova Model brand, which concentrates on civil and utility aircraft neglected by the large manufacturers. This edition captures the version with five-blade propellers and is worked out in the classic 1:72 scale.
The Jetstream 31 came about in Great Britain as a modernized variant of the older Jetstream type, a small airliner for regional and commuter routes for roughly two dozen passengers. It is powered by a pair of turboprop engines and is characterized by a slender fuselage with a markedly glazed nose. The improved Super 31 version brought higher performance and payload; machines of this type flew with a number of regional operators all over the world, and some of them also served as corporate and calibration aircraft.
With airliners the basis is a smooth, glossy surface: sand the fuselage down after gluing, fill the seams and apply a primer before painting, which will reveal any unevenness. Spray the white and light surfaces in thin coats over a light base. Assemble the five-blade propellers carefully, so that all the blades have the same angle. We recommend masking the glazing of the nose before painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
