An injection-molded plastic kit of the three-engined aircraft Junkers Ju 52/3m in 1:72 scale from the Italian manufacturer Italeri. The model is built from polystyrene and is intended to be glued and painted. The exact contents of the package and the choice of markings differ between the individual releases.
The Ju 52/3m, nicknamed Tante Ju, was an all-metal three-engined aircraft with a characteristic corrugated duralumin skin. It came about at the turn of the 1920s and 1930s as an airliner, and in the Second World War it served the Luftwaffe above all as a transport and paratroop aircraft, and in further versions as an air ambulance and a minesweeping machine. It is among the best known transport aircraft of its era.
Use liquid cement for plastic and clean the joints up as you go. Treat the model with a filler primer before painting and apply the shades ideally with an airbrush. The corrugated skin comes out nicely once the panel lines have been given a fine accentuation with a wash. Finish and paint the interior and the landing gear before closing the fuselage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
