Resin exhausts for the radial engines of the German Junkers Ju 188 bomber in 1:72 scale from Quickboost. It is not an airplane model, but a precise replacement part for more experienced modelers that replaces the plastic exhausts from the kit with more faithful castings. The set is intended for the version with radial engines, not for the version with inline engines.
The Ju 188 was a German bomber of the Second World War that could be fitted either with inverted V12 Jumo engines or with radial BMW engines; it was precisely the radial-engine version that was built in greater numbers. The exhausts by the engine nacelles are clearly visible on a model and in plastic they look coarse. The part is meant to refine an existing Ju 188 model in the radial version in the same scale.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release residue from the mold. Cut the casting blocks off with a sharp knife or a fine saw and clean up the surfaces; protect your airways when sanding resin. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue — ordinary cement for plastic will not hold on resin. Repaint the exhausts in shades of burnt metal and rust and bring them out with soot deposits.
It is supplied as an unpainted resin accessory for completing a model. Glue, paints and the model itself are not included in the package.
