A pair of KAB-500Kr guided aircraft bombs of the 500 kg weight class in 1:72 scale, an accessory for the external stores of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The KAB-500Kr is a Russian guided aircraft bomb of the 500 kg weight class. At first glance it differs from an unguided bomb in its squared-off front section with the window of the seeker head and in its large tail surfaces, with which the bomb corrects itself onto the target in flight. The letter in the designation refers to the variant with television guidance, where the crew marks the target before release and the bomb then holds its course to it by itself.
Two pieces of the bomb in 1:72 scale, supplied as finished replacement parts to be hung under the wing or fuselage of a model. External stores are among the parts where simplification from a kit shows most, because a bomb hangs freely in space and is visible from every side.
Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest smooth. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Paint the bomb and let it dry before you hang it, because once it is hung you will no longer reach its underside. While gluing, check that the bomb hangs parallel with the axis of the aircraft and that the tail surfaces are turned the same way on both pieces; asymmetrically hung armament shows on a model at once. The particular procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The model, the pylons, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
