This aftermarket 3D-printed resin set in 1:72 scale captures the exhaust system of the Kamov Ka-52 attack helicopter. It is not a model but a detail accessory that replaces the simplified plastic parts with a faithful resin substitute with thin walls and fine internal structure. The mating faces match the engine nacelles of the Dream Model and Quinta kits.
The Kamov Ka-52 Alligator is a Russian two-seat attack helicopter. The exhaust system of its turboshaft engines carries the hot gases away and on combat machines it tends to be arranged with an eye to suppressing the heat signature. A faithful rendering of the exhausts markedly raises the realism of a model.
Separate the parts from the supports, wash and degrease them and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Sand with respiratory protection. Finish the exhausts in metal and burnt shades, darken the edges with soot pigments and support the transitions of heat discoloration with a fine wash.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
