This Dead Design masking set is intended for the variant of the national insignia where the red disc is ringed with a white outline. The manufacturer makes the forms with and without an outline as two separate sets, so you buy exactly what you need for your machine. The set is intended for the Hasegawa and Special Hobby kits.
An insignia with a white ring is not one color but two, and they have to be exactly concentric. With decals the printer deals with that; with spraying the masking set has to. The work therefore goes in two steps: first the white circle is sprayed at full size, and once it has dried a smaller circular mask is laid over it and the red disc is sprayed. The accuracy of both steps is held by the shape of the templates. With a mask cut by hand that result can be repeated only with great difficulty, because on circles a few millimeters across the eye spots a deviation at once.
Let the white coat cure properly before you lay the second mask on it, otherwise it will tear away as the mask is peeled off. Spray the red in thin coats and rather in several goes. Between the steps always check whether the edge of the mask is standing off anywhere. Once it is finished and the masks are off, unify the whole model with a final varnish, so that the white and the red have the same degree of sheen as the camouflage.
