This is a resin aftermarket detail set, not a model of the aircraft. It contains faithfully cast stores pylons for models of the Japanese fighter Kawasaki Ki-61-Id Hien in 1:72 scale. The castings replace the simplified plastic parts from the box and allow a realistic mounting of drop tanks or bombs.
In the small 1:72 scale a faithful shape of the pylons is difficult to achieve in plastic. Resin castings are crisper and will help to place the stores correctly. The set is intended for a particular type of aircraft, and it is a good idea to check the fit before building.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut the casting blocks away and clean them up. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Carry out the sanding of resin with respiratory protection. A primer has proved itself for painting.
This is an accessory for advanced modelers. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
